Dear valued customer,

Please take note that UnitedTech is implementing IP changes on it’s environment on the 7th of December 2018 (2018-12-07) this will affect the media IP addresses.

The media (RTP) IP addresses of UnitedTech will change from 169.239.8.50/196.15.185.48  to 169.239.8.21, 169.239.8.22, 169.239.8.180 and 169.239.8.181.

This means that you still register to 169.239.8.50/196.15.185.48, but media should be expected from 169.239.8.21, 169.239.8.22, 169.239.8.180 and 169.239.8.181. This change mainly affects customers who have firewalls and strict NAT rules. If you have any firewall or NAT rules on your network specific to the SIP IP addresses, they will need to be adjusted to accommodate the new media IP addresses.

If these adjustments are not in place by 7 December 2018, customers will experience one-way or no speech on their calls. Please make the necessary adjustments before this date.

This change is implemented in order to provide further redundancy in our environment, as multiple SIP servers will run in a cluster.

It is advised that if customers make firewall adjustments, they should adjust them to allow the entire 169.239.8.0/24 IP block. If any further servers are added to our environment in future, additional media IP addresses will be added, which would require further adjustments to these rules. If 169.239.8.0/24 is allowed by default, no action would be required from your side to accommodate any further expansion.

Thank you for your understanding.

 Kind regards,

 UnitedTech
